Product Options

Poison Spyder Customs Front Stingers are the original hard core rock crawling Jeep bumper. The stinger is a sturdy and functional bumper built for today's extreme trails. Stingers assist in minimizing damage during a rollover by helping to protect hood line, radiator, and engine. Additionally preventing potential end-overs when heading down steep terrain. The Stinger also protects the grill and winch with no loss in approach angle typical of bulky square bumpers. The Poison Spyder Stinger is simple, lightweight, functional and very affordable.

Poison Spyder Front Stingers come in two types: Trail and Competition. This part number is for the "Comp" Stinger. The Comp Stinger is built on a base plate laser cut from 3/16" plate steel, with a Stinger hoop made of CNC-bent 1-3/4" X .120 wall DOM structural tubing. The Comp Stinger's main hoop stands 36" from its base at a 45° angle. Poison Spyder Stingers are designed to bolt directly onto your Jeep's frame using OE mounting hardware. Comp Stingers may be reinforced with horizontal support tubes as shown in the "action" photos above, however these are not included in the kit. Stingers are shipped bare steel.

Poison Spyder Stingers do NOT include winch mounting provisions, but they will work with any manufacture's winch mount plate, as will OE or most aftermarket tow hooks. If a stronger recovery point is desired check out Poison Spyder's D-Ring Shackle Tabs or perhaps opt for our BFH Bumper with Trail or Comp Stinger. Relocation of any bumper-mounted auxiliary lights is required, but we offer a variety of Fairlead Light Mounts to relocate auxiliary lights to the top of your roller or hawse winch fairlead.

NOTE ON PHOTOS: The Poison Spyder Comp Stinger does not come with the horizontal braces shown on many of the "action" photos above. Many of the "action" photos above depict a previous version of the Poison Spyder Comp Stinger. The current version has several refinements to the base plate, as depicted in the bare part photo.

  • These photos include some images of earlier versions of the Comp Stinger, some of which may feature a different style of skid plate. The plate shown in the main photo above is the current design. Also note that the horizontal tubular bracing shown in some of the photos is NOT part of the Comp Stinger from Poison Spyder, but they are examples of bracing which can be done by the customer or your local fab shop.
